Lekat, a new Indonesian fashion line with a twist of antique and authentic grace to every design they make. Custom to traditional Indonesian designs through their clothes, jewelry and accessories, Lekat has made its debut to launch their online website, preferably for anybody who wishes to have a piece or two of their unique touches of design.

Lekat had trusted us to take several shots for their catalogue edition to the website. As challenging as it is, we all had a fun ride creating a whole lot of design for Lekat's website shopping catalogue.

the set up

Packed with my partner in crime camera and a tripod, we took most of these pictures at a park in one of Jakarta's apartments in South of Jakarta. We arrived at the site around 6am in the morning with our model, and did a quick make-up session, and got ourselves ready for our shoot. It was really nice and sunny weather, which made it easier for us to take these pictures without any assistant of lighting equipments, but as the sun started the rise, we also had to make a little changes on the reflection and positioning of the model.

The whole shoot lasted about 4 hours, we did about 25 pieces of wardrobe, and by the time we all packed our things, an hour later, it rained heavily at that very spot where we took those pictures. We were so relieved that we could finish the first photo session of clothes just in time.

Our second photoshoot session actually did not take place on the same day, we had managed to make another schedule during the week to finish off the whole catalogue. In this second session, it was take product shots for Lekat's collection of jewelry and accessories, plated with bronze copper and fine shaped rare stones.

To make things more interesting, we also made our own little light box to take these shots. Looked for an old used box, covered it with white paper, and made a small light box. I have to say this was the most relaxing photo session I've ever experienced. Haha, usually things are more hectic in other photo shoots.

Now Lekat has already launched their website and has uploaded the pictures that were taken and edited by us.

Do check them out & have a great day guys!
