Richly Inspired ( KACA KASSIDY )

A few months back we did a photo shoot for KACA KASSIDY. It was for their webstore needs. It was taken in a studio around South Jakarta. It was a small team and a simple shoot.

As a brand, Kaca Kassidy still very much a young one, but their designs are very mature and chic. It is intended for those high paced, professional and simple intelligents women. If you are into CELINE or Stella McCartney stuff, you might like their look too. They say;

The name Kaca Kassidy originated from two different words – 'Kaca' which translates to mirror in English and 'Kassidy', which represent intelligence. By combining the two words, the brand represents the modern women of today, who are independent, smart, active and social.

KACA KASSIDY's owners (L-R): Adinda - Alyssa
The owners came to us with a simple concept and really specific wants. We as the creative team like it when the client knows what they want, it simplify the research & pre-production process. No props were needed and they know they only wanted one model.

The only time consuming process was the model selection. We didn't have much time to book the model, and most models at that time were already booked because it was near Indonesian Fashion Week (which Kaca Kassidy also participated in it).

 During the photo shoot our photographer Ichan, only used a minimalist lighting and white limbo wall. They wanted a more sophisticated & clean look for this collection. The simple photo concept really highlights their products.

Their collection weren't much yet, and everything is cohesive. It was fairly easy to line up the looks for the shoot. It is best that before hand you picked in what order the looks is going to be. This process would speed up the wardrobe changing time and help the lighting set up (if needed).

Remember pre-production (planning) is KEY to make a fun & time efficient production!

For this project, we were helped by Dea for that day's make up. We went for a simple smokey eyes so it goes with the whole collection. It wasn't much of a work because there was only 1 model.

Always try to remember to be attentive and note everything that is going on during your production time. It helps the post production process if changes were needed.

And lastly, try to have fun & always have breaks (or at least a break) to keep a fresh & creative mind on.

Do check KACA KASSIDY's webstore for our final look & to get their latest collection.

Have a lovely day guys!
